Seinäjoki has several beautiful beaches. In the immediate vicinity of the center is Sahalampi beach. A little further from the center are Kyrkösjärvi beach and Tanelinranta on Hyllykallio. These beaches are supervised beaches.
- Sahanlampi beach is located at Vapaudentie 4. The toilets and rooms for changing clothes are open when the beach is supervised (12-8pm). The beach is well suited for families with children. There is plenty of grass for sunbathing. There are also two beach volleyball courts in the beach area.
- Kyrkösjärvi beach located at Kyrkösjärventie 26 has changing rooms, showers and toilets. The facilities and the kiosk are open during the summer from 10 am to 8 pm daily. In addition, the area has two beach volleyball courts and a kiosk, a nature house, a hut and a 9-lane frisbee golf course.
- Tanelinranta is located at Lampitie 10. The beach profile is quite steep, but for small children there is a so-called a cove that is shallow. There are plenty of sandy beaches and grassy areas for sunbathing. There are changing booths on the beach. In addition, the water sports center Epop Wake operates on the beach, where you can practice cable water skiing and SUP boarding.
The Kalajärvi Resort on the Peräseinäjoki, approx. 30 km from the city center, has a camping area and lots of activities suitable for families with children, such as mini golf and a water slide. The clear-water Veneskoski quarry is located approx. 5 km from the center to the direction of Kuortane and Alavus.Other unsupervised swimming spots are e.g. Lehtisalo quarry near Kiikuntie road, Malkakoskenranta in Ylistaro and Törnävä beach in Törnävänsaari.
