The Tractor Museum is located in Nurmo, approximately seven kilometres from the centre of Seinäjoki. The museum operates in an old youth association building, which was restored in 1978, and a hangar built in 2001–2003. The museum was opened in autumn 2004.
Today, it houses Finland’s largest private collection of tractors. There are 150 exhibits, of which 100 have been restored. The museum is generally open by agreement, and visitors can explore independently or request a guided tour. Guided tours are available for groups. Coffee and refreshments can be organised by prior arrangement. Visitors can tour the museum independently for as long as they want. Visitors are advised to contact the museum in advance; alternatively, passers-by who are interested in the collection can enquire with the founder Matti Jaskari in the workshop adjacent to the museum.
