Lapuan Kankurit is Finland’s leading Jacquard weaving mill for linen and wool, where weaving and material skills have been honed to the peak over the decades. The homey factory outlet store in Lapua, which is full of lovely interior decorating and gift ideas, is to be found within the brick walls of the Vanha Paukku Cultural Centre.
The roots of Lapuan Kankurit are in the first textile factory in the family, founded in 1917. The weavers use authentic natural materials — flax, tencel, cotton, wool and mohair — in their products.
Lapuan Kankurit’s product selection includes among other things tablecloths and table runners, towels, bath textiles and blankets. Lapuan Kankurit has its own shop in places such as Japan, and its products are sold in numerous stores around the world.
The Lapuan Kankurit factory outlet store is located in Lapua at the Vanha Paukku Cultural Centre, which is about 25 km from Seinäjoki. The best way to get there is in your own car.
