The hill trail by Susivuori takes the visitor to the fascinating Susiluola, or Wolf Cave, the largest cave in Finland. Objects that are thought be 120,000-year old Neanderthal artefacts have been found in the cave, making it the oldest known human habitat in the Nordic region. A viewing tower located on top of Susivuori affords spectacular views towards the Bothnian Sea, which lies 15 kilometres to the west. The first section of the trail from the car park to the cave consists of an easy-to-navigate path, but after that the trail runs in parts over more challenging rocky terrain. The starting point houses a Lappish hut and toilet facilities.
